About Brittney Carter

Hi, my name is Brittney Carter, LCMHC, LCAS. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University. I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. I also have a specialty in Expressive Art Therapy and school counseling. My work experience has been in both the hospital and community mental health settings.

I have experience working with patients dealing with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, grief, addiction, psychosis, and chronic suicidal thoughts. I have experience in group settings, crisis services, emergency management, community support teams, and individual counseling. I use a combination of approaches to best meet the needs of each person I am assisting.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and pet dog, Matty, and exploring the great outdoors.
