About Rachel Sprague

Hello! My name is Rachel. I obtained my master's of education in clinical mental health counseling from North Carolina State University in 2020. Prior to obtaining my master's degree, I worked in both Guilford County and Rockingham County school systems as a sign language interpreter. Through advocacy with children, I developed a niche and specialty in working with children who have behavioral, emotional, ability, and educational differences. In September of 2022, I completed both TF-CBT training through Duke University and rostering with the NC Child Treatment Program as well as completed requirements for my full license.

Since my adolescence, I've always wanted to work with kids. I love incorporating fun and creativity into sessions, allowing kids to express themselves however they need and prefer. My goal is to instill self-advocacy in my clients and support them in building resiliency and self-regulation skills. I enjoy using a combination of approaches to tailor my sessions to meet the specific needs of each child and family.

"When not at work, I enjoy spending time at home with my 3 fur babies - 2 cats and a deaf dog. Etta is a qualified therapy dog and enjoys coming to work with me. Born and raised in Washington state, I moved to North Carolina in 2015. I enjoy experiencing various local and global cultures through travel and have been to 4 continents and 6 countries."
