Therapy Support Lead

Winston Salem, NC

As the Therapy Support Lead, you will be responsible for providing prior authorization support services to all clinical staff.  Prior authorizations will include therapy services and psychological testing services.  The role requires a minimum of 1 years of experience as an LCMHC or LCSW. 

ABM Culture

Reports to: Clinic Director (Clinical & Personnel) and Senior Director of Therapy Services (Admin)

Collaborates with: Clinic Directors and clinicians

Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATIVE – Approximately 5-25% percent of the role.

  •  Client Care: Oversees and manages all prior authorizations for therapy services and neuropsychological testing services, while maintaining a caseload as appropriate.

  • Clinical Workflows and Policies: Assist in creating and managing prior authorization processes.  Collaborates with the Leadership team to enhance PA Lead processes and guidelines. 

  • Compliance: Provides monthly reports on PA success rates, advising on changes in insurer trends.

CLINICAL DELIVERY – Approximately 75-95% percent of the role.

  • Caseload: Maintains a caseload in accordance with available non-admin time

Day-to-day:

  • Provides direct clinic care to patients

  • Manages all therapy and neuropsych prior authorizations

  • Monitors workflows and provides feedback for efficiency improvements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Current and unrestricted state licensure as an LCMHC or LCSW

  • Familiarity with the Principles of Medical Ethics of the American Medical Association

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Ability to provide formative feedback.

  • Extremely strong clinical skills and knowledge of licensure requirements.

  • Significant problem-solving capability.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
