About Tonya Farmer

Tonya is a dually Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience providing care to individuals from ages 10 and above. She has always been passionate about helping others achieve optimal levels of functioning; both physically and mentally despite health or sociological barriers. She believes in person-centered and holistic healthcare.

Tonya values developing therapeutic relationships with her clients and is devoted to her study and the care of her clients. She specializes in treating anxiety disorders, depression, sleep disorders/insomnia, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, gender identity, couples issues, women’s issues, men’s issues, grief, trauma, and other conditions in clients across the life span and from all backgrounds.

Tonya was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in family nurse practitioner from South University in 2018 and her certification in psychiatric mental health from Purdue University Global. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, exercising, traveling, and learning new things.
