Emmett Rock grew up in Southern California and has lived in multiple states across the country. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from Brigham Young University. Throughout his career, he has provided clinical services in a school for adults with autism, a sober living facility, and public schools. Before pursuing clinical work, he spent several years working with teenagers in a variety of settings and continues that passion today as a high school volleyball coach.
Emmett enjoys working with teenagers and adults from all backgrounds, helping them harness their strengths to have a more fulfilling life. His therapeutic approach is collaborative and individualized, drawing primarily from Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop new perspectives, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals. He believes that every person is unique and tailors treatment to meet each person’s individual needs. Through his professional experience, he has developed a particular interest in supporting individuals impacted by substance use, anxiety, and depression.
Emmett has been married for six years and his family of two recently became a family of three. He is a kid at heart and loves to have fun by being active and spending time with others. He understands that life can be incredibly difficult and that everyone encounters seasons of struggle. Through both personal and professional experiences, he has seen that healing, growth, and hope are possible. He considers it a privilege to walk alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward a more fulfilling future.
