Hi, my name is Cydney Pearson! I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I bring over six years of nursing experience across behavioral health, emergency psychiatry, community health, and inpatient psychiatric care. My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard and supported. I believe mental health care should be individualized, and I work closely with each patient to develop treatment plans that align with their unique goals and needs.
My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, women’s mental health, and LGBTQIA+ mental health. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I am passionate about providing evidence-based care while considering the whole person. I recognize the important connection between mental, physical, and emotional well-being and value patient education and shared decision-making, empowering individuals to take an active role in their treatment and overall wellness.
Outside of work, I am a proud mom who enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active through fitness and Zumba, and exploring new ways to support overall wellness and personal growth. I believe meaningful connections, balance, and self-care are important parts of a healthy life, and I strive to bring those values into both my personal and professional life.
