Christina Alley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) who believes everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. She is passionate about social justice and the importance of recognizing and honoring each person’s unique experiences. Her approach to therapy is person-centered and strengths-based, with a focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where clients feel comfortable being themselves.
Christina strives to help clients recognize their strengths, build confidence, and feel empowered to make choices that align with their needs and goals. She draws from a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy, to find what works best for each person. She enjoys working with people of all ages, with a particular passion for supporting children, adolescents, and autistic girls and women.
Christina holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and political science and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before becoming a therapist, she spent several years supporting adoptive families and working alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These experiences helped shape her belief in the importance of understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys reading and browsing bookstores, attending UNC sporting events with her son, cooking and trying new foods with her spouse, and spending time with family, both human and furry!
