About Ashton Gilbert

My name is Ashton Gilbert, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). I have been providing clinical services since October 2024, specializing in developmentally appropriate, client-centered. I have experience providing clinical services to adults and children. This allows me to support individuals and families across the lifespan.

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) degrees at UNC Pembroke. Throughout my career, I have gained diverse experience helping individuals and families in many roles. These roles include school social worker, foster care social worker, and clinical therapist. Each of these roles have strengthened my ability to advocate for clients, connect them to essential resources, and develop individualized treatment plans that address complex emotional, behavioral, and social needs.

I am a dependable and passionate professional with a consistent record of providing meaningful support, advocacy, and guidance to individuals and families. I have strong skills in crisis intervention, community outreach, program development, and creating client-centered care plans. My goal is to foster a safe, collaborative, and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

My clinical approach includes providing emotional support, utilizing solution-based interventions, and advocating for resources that promote stability and growth. I approach my work with empathy, active listening, and collaboration. This allows me to build strong therapeutic relationships and work effectively alongside clients and their support systems. I strive to empower clients to develop coping skills, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change while supporting their overall well-being.
