About Yasmine Hughes

Hi, my name is Yasmine Hughes, LCMHCA. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mount Olive. My clinical experience includes providing both group and individual therapy within intensive outpatient and outpatient settings, supporting adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, and life transitions.

I take a trauma-informed, relational, and integrative approach to therapy. My work draws from CBT, DBT-informed practice, ACT, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. I believe healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them build emotional regulation, self-understanding, and compassion for themselves. I integrate grounding techniques, breathwork, and imagery to help clients connect with their nervous system and feel more centered in the therapeutic process.

I’m passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ clients, individuals exploring identity and belonging, and those recovering from chronic stress or relational wounds. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their inner world at their own pace and begin building a life that feels aligned and meaningful.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, creative hobbies, and spending time with my loved ones.
