About William Harris
After graduating high school, I joined the U.S. Navy and served for four years. I attended Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and graduated in 2004. After that, I completed my psychiatry residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Since then, I have worked in community mental health, including outpatient services and as the medical director of an Assertive Community Treatment Team for 11 years.
I always take a patient-centered approach. I see wellness as the balance between mental, spiritual, and physical health. I treat patients aged 10 and up for a variety of conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders.
I enjoy surfing, fly fishing, and riding motorcycles when I am not working.
