About Sander Scott

Hi, I’m Sander Scott, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Addiction Specialist. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work through the joint program between UNC Greensboro and North Carolina A&T State University.

I bring experience from individual counseling, crisis centers, first responder mobile crisis teams, and community mental health settings. Because of this background, I work with clients facing trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, addiction, relationship challenges, and identity-related concerns.

In my approach, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I tailor these methods to fit each client’s needs and goals.

At the core of my work is collaboration. I view therapy as a team effort, where we work together to build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change. In addition, I focus on building strong rapport so clients feel supported and understood throughout the process.

My goal is to help clients move toward self-discovery and emotional balance. At the same time, I create a trauma-informed space where you can laugh, cry, and fully explore your thoughts and emotions.

Outside of work, I value mindfulness and self-care. I enjoy spending time with family, going to the gym, listening to audiobooks, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends. These interests help me stay grounded and bring a balanced, human approach to my work.
