About Renee Goulding
Hi! My name is Renee Goulding. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in both medical and mental health care. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valparaiso University. Later, I completed my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Southern Indiana, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health.
My career started in critical care nursing. For more than 10 years, I worked in high-acuity settings, including trauma, post-operative recovery, and intensive care units. During that time, I precepted new nurses, led staff trainings, and worked across multiple states. These experiences strengthened my clinical judgment, leadership skills, and adaptability.
As a PMHNP, I provide comprehensive mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults. I diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, eating disorders, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and sleep disorders.
In addition, I integrate evidence-based medication management with therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral strategies, motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy. I have experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC communities, and multicultural populations. I also provide care through both in-person visits and telehealth, which allows for flexibility while maintaining high-quality treatment.
Originally, I am from the Chicagoland area. I have lived in several states, including Indiana, Colorado, California, Arizona, Virginia, and North Carolina. These experiences broadened my perspective and enriched both my personal and professional life.
Outside of work, I enjoy biking, hiking, painting, and spending time outdoors. I am passionate about psychiatry and committed to helping individuals achieve lasting mental wellness.
