About Miranda Harris

Dr. Miranda Harris is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Originally from Augusta, GA, she received her Doctorate of Medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA and completed residency at the Medical College of Georgia where she also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. During fellowship, Dr. Harris served as chief resident of the program. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, relatable and high-quality care to children and families living with mental illness.

Dr. Harris has a particular interest in treating patients with PTSD and complex trauma and has served on inpatient units and at residential care facilities working with families in crisis. She favors a patient centered care model in which she engages in shared decision making with patients and families to create a comprehensive plan of care.

In her free time, Dr. Harris enjoys traveling, attending concerts, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
