About Lauren Carlston

Lauren Carlston, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia. A North Carolina native, she graduated from Lake Norman High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from East Carolina University. With a deep awareness of how mental health affects every aspect of life, Lauren is committed to walking alongside her patients and their families—helping them feel empowered in their mental health journey as they navigate life’s challenges.

Lauren draws on her clinical expertise and a holistic approach to provide individualized care across the lifespan. She has a particular interest in treating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and autism. She remains curious and committed to life-long learning, and regularly attends psychiatric conferences to maintain the latest evidence-based practices. Lauren is also a dedicated ally, fostering an inclusive, affirming space for all patients, including members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Outside of work, Lauren loves spending time with her husband and two cats. She enjoys traveling, crafting, live music, video games, and getting outdoors. You might also find her exploring Charlotte’s local coffee shops and bakeries.
