About D’Nasia Council
Hi! I am D’Nasia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Kentucky. I attended UNC Chapel Hill for my undergraduate studies, where I received a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A.Ed. in Human Development and Family Studies.
I am passionate about working with adolescents and young adults who are navigating a variety of mental health concerns. My clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric hospital has helped me develop strong skills in working with individuals in crisis and utilizing trauma-informed care. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment to support clients facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, and more. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process, as we are the experts of our own lives. I use an integrative approach tailored to each client’s needs and frequently incorporate CBT and DBT techniques.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and building LEGO sets. I am also very family-oriented and enjoy spending time with my family and traveling with my best friends.
