About Cindy Arrington

I earned my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2012 from Winston-Salem State University and am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor–Associate.

I bring over 10 years of combined experience in vocational rehabilitation, mental health, and substance use counseling. For five years, I worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor supporting individuals with job development, placement, and follow-up services. For the past five years, I have focused on providing mental health and substance use counseling, helping adults navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing and personal growth.

I enjoy working with adults ages 18 and older, including Veterans, who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, PTSD, and substance use concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

In our first session, we’ll begin with introductions and then focus on the concerns that feel most important to you right now. From there, we’ll work together to develop a thoughtful, personalized plan to guide our work in future sessions.

Through my years of experience, I’ve developed a practical and supportive approach to therapy that helps clients identify underlying contributors to their challenges and make steady, measurable progress toward healing and growth.
