About Brooke Smithson
Navigating the stress of life can feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety, trauma, or self-doubt get in the way. If you feel stuck in your thoughts, weighed down by transitions, or unsure how to navigate relationships, you’re not alone. I’m here to help you work through those challenges in a supportive, empowering, and genuine way. I work with children, teens, college students, and young adults ages 6 to 35, and I especially enjoy supporting young women as they explore identity, strengthen their sense of self, and build confidence. My passion for this work comes from being raised in a home filled with strong women, where I witnessed both the struggles and the resilience that shape the female experience. Creating a safe space where women feel heard, understood, and valued is at the heart of my practice.
My approach is person centered and integrative, drawing from theories like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and a strengths-based perspective. I believe therapy should feel supportive and collaborative, offering clients the space to reconnect with themselves, shift unhelpful patterns, and create lives that feel authentic and meaningful. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and empowered in their growth.
Outside of the therapy room, I value creativity, time spent in nature, and quality moments with loved ones. In my free time, I enjoy curling up with a good book, discovering new parks with my dog River, and finding little adventures close to home. I try to carry that same balance of curiosity, creativity, and calm into the therapy space, offering clients both structure and warmth.
