About Brooke Smithson
Hi, I’m Brooke Smithson. I know that life can feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety, trauma, or self-doubt take hold. If you feel stuck in your thoughts, weighed down by change, or unsure how to navigate relationships, you’re not alone. I’m here to help you work through those challenges in a supportive, empowering, and genuine way.
I work with clients ages 6 to 35, and I especially enjoy supporting young women as they explore their identity, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of self. My passion for this work grew from being raised in a home filled with strong women. Through that experience, I witnessed both the struggles and the resilience that shape the female experience. Because of this, I prioritize creating a space where women feel heard, understood, and valued.
My approach to therapy is person-centered and integrative. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and a strengths-based perspective to guide my work. At the core, I believe therapy should feel collaborative and supportive. I help clients reconnect with themselves, shift unhelpful patterns, and build lives that feel more authentic and meaningful. Throughout the process, I focus on creating a compassionate space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
Outside of therapy, I value creativity, time in nature, and meaningful moments with loved ones. In my free time, I enjoy reading, exploring new parks with my dog River, and finding small adventures close to home. I bring that same sense of curiosity, creativity, and calm into my work, offering clients both structure and warmth.
