About Brian Byerly

Brian Byerly is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience treating a diverse range of mental health diagnoses in a variety of settings, including inpatient, Community Mental Health, and private practice. Holding a Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University and drawing on a unique background in engineering and business, Brian brings a deeply empathetic, practical, and well-rounded approach to therapy.

Operating from a systems approach, Brian offers individual, couples, and family therapy for clients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. He provides trauma-informed care and specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Brian has a special clinical interest in treating anxiety, depression, grief, complex life changes, and young adult concerns. In every session, he prioritizes a safe, collaborative environment to empower clients and foster long-term resilience.

Outside of his clinical work, Brian enjoys hitting the local trails on his mountain and cyclocross bikes, tending to his planted aquariums, and cheering on Arsenal Football Club. Above all, he values quality time with his family.
