About Ana Marques

Hi! I’m Ana Marques, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester, and my background is in community mental health. I have worked with adults facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, life transitions, chronic pain, identity questions, and more.

I believe that therapy works best when the relationship feels genuine and supportive. I see our work together as a collaboration. I am here to offer guidance and insight while also recognizing that you are the expert on your own life. I am drawn to approaches that help us understand emotions and the deeper patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others, and I always tailor my approach to what feels most helpful for you. I also work from a social justice and systemic perspective, which means I pay attention to the larger contexts and inequities that may be shaping your experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and, when it feels helpful, gently challenged in your growth. Above all, I hope to help you move toward greater clarity, connection, and self-trust.

Outside of work, I find joy in movement, creative outlets, and time spent with loved ones. This sometimes looks like cooking up new recipes, listening to my favorite bands, weightlifting, reading, and walks with my dog, Riley.
