In-Clinic Medical Assistant

As an In-Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA or CNA), your primary role is to provide clinical support services within the clinic setting. This involves administering TMS, assisting in injection clinics, managing Ketamine administration, and delivering other interventional psychiatric services as certified by the practice group. Additionally, you’ll oversee prior authorization support for covered interventional psychiatric services and provide support to virtual medical assistants in managing patient communications and other clinical support tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Authorization Management: Manage all prior authorization requirements for covered interventional psychiatric services.
  • Manages In-Office Psychiatric Services: Oversee and administer in-office interventional psychiatric services, ensuring compliance and high-quality patient care.
  •  Manages EHR Patient Messages: Oversee and manage patient messages within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring timely responses and appropriate actions.
  • Manages Patient Calls for Refills: Handle patient calls requesting medication refills, ensuring accuracy and adherence to clinic protocols.
  • Manages EHR Prescription Requests: Process and manage prescription requests within the Electronic Health Record system, following established guidelines.
  •  Manages Pharmacy Requests: Coordinate and manage communication with pharmacies regarding various medication-related queries and requests.
  • Manages Clinical Requests through Fax: Handle all clinical requests received via fax, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  •  Manages All Pharmacy Calls: Handle incoming calls from pharmacies, addressing inquiries and facilitating necessary actions.
  • Manages Patient Phone Calls: Address patient inquiries and concerns via phone calls, ensuring a high standard of patient care and support.
  • Assists in Monitoring Lab Requests: Provide assistance in monitoring and managing lab requests as part of clinical support operations.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with at least 1 year experience
  • Clinical Expertise: Proficiency in clinical support services and handling patient-related tasks.
  • Remote Capabilities: Ability to effectively work and deliver support services remotely.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to assist in diverse clinical tasks and provide backup support as needed.
