Clinic Medical Assistant

As an In-Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA, CNA, or EMT), your primary role is to provide clinical support services within the clinic setting. Responsibilities include administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), assisting in injection clinics, managing Spravato (esketamine) and Ketamine administration, and delivering other interventional psychiatric services as certified by the practice group. Additionally, you’ll oversee prior authorization support for interventional psychiatric services and assist virtual medical assistants in managing patient communications and related clinical support tasks.

Responsibilities

  • TMS Administration: Safely operate TMS equipment, delivering treatments as prescribed and monitoring patient response.
  • Spravato & Ketamine Management: Oversee administration and patient monitoring during Spravato (esketamine) and Ketamine treatments, ensuring patient safety and adherence to established protocols.
  • Authorization Management: Handle prior authorization requirements for interventional psychiatric services.
  • In-Office Psychiatric Services: Administer in-office psychiatric interventions, maintaining compliance and quality patient care.
  • EHR Management: Respond timely to patient messages, medication refills, and prescription requests within the EHR system.
  • Pharmacy Communications: Coordinate effectively with pharmacies for medication inquiries and requests.
  • Clinical Documentation: Manage clinical requests via fax and ensure thorough documentation.
  • Patient Calls: Professionally handle patient phone inquiries, providing high-quality support.
  • Lab Requests: Assist with monitoring and managing lab requests within clinical support operations.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Clinical Expertise: Skilled in providing clinical support services and patient care.
  • Remote Capabilities: Comfortable and efficient with delivering remote support services.
