The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to suicide prevention in the LGBTQ+ community. Since its foundation in 1998, they have provided a vast multitude of resources for LGBTQ+ individuals, including crisis services, peer support, education, and advocacy. They are available 24/7 to provide support and information to people who are struggling. Their trained crisis counselors can be contacted via phone call, text, or online chat, and these conversations are both confidential and free of charge.

GLAAD
GLAAD, or the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, is a media monitoring organization that puts pressure on media organizations to portray the LGBTQ+ community in a non-sensationalized, non-stereotypical, humanizing manner. Founded in 1985 as a way to combat homophobic reporting in newspapers, they have expanded their reach to television, movies, and more. GLAAD also provides education and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community and reports news on LGBTQ+ topics, such as anti-LGBTQ+ laws. They also do research on LGBTQ+ topics and communities in order to spread awareness of LGBTQ+ issues, and their website contains resources for many different communities, including people living with HIV.
