Hello, my name is Anye Stewart! I look forward to working with you and supporting you in reaching your goals.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wofford College and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Wake Forest University. My clinical experience includes individual counseling, DBT-based psychoeducational groups, and process groups for survivors of domestic violence.
I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process where we work together to identify meaningful goals and build on your existing strengths. My approach is client-centered and focused on creating a supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to develop greater confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.
I incorporate principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), including mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and skills for building healthier relationships. I also value helping clients find balance between emotions and logic—what DBT refers to as the “Wise Mind”—to support thoughtful decision-making and meaningful change.
My goal is to meet you where you are and work alongside you as you develop practical skills, greater self-awareness, and confidence in moving toward the life you want.
