About Kira Sharp

Hi, my name is Kira Sharp, LCMHC-A. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University. My clinical experience includes providing telehealth behavioral health services to students in rural North Carolina across elementary, middle, and high school settings. I have also worked in community-based mental health environments, supporting adults and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family-related challenges.

I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel seen, heard, and accepted. My primary therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and client-centered therapy. I strive to tailor my interventions to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

I place a strong emphasis on building rapport and fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship to support growth and overall well-being. Cultural competence is a core value in my work, and I remain committed to ongoing learning and awareness of the experiences and challenges faced by marginalized communities.

Outside of my professional role, I enjoy playing video games and reading and writing thriller novels.
