About Ashton Gilbert

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) who has been providing clinical services since October 2024. I specialize in working with young children and adolescents, offering developmentally appropriate, client-centered care that supports emotional, mental, and social well-being. In addition to my work with youth, I also have experience providing clinical services to adults, allowing me to effectively support individuals and families across the lifespan.

I earned both my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) degrees from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Throughout my professional career, I have gained diverse experience serving individuals and families in various roles, including as a school social worker, foster care social worker, and clinical therapist. These roles have strengthened my ability to advocate for clients, connect them to essential resources, and develop individualized treatment plans that address complex emotional, behavioral, and social needs.

I am a dependable and passionate professional with a consistent record of providing meaningful support, advocacy, and guidance to individuals and families. I am recognized for my ability to create client-centered care plans and for my skills in crisis intervention, community outreach, and program development. I strive to foster a safe, collaborative, and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

My clinical approach is rooted in providing emotional support, utilizing solution-based interventions, and advocating for resources that promote stability and growth. My strengths include empathy, active listening, and collaboration, which allow me to build strong therapeutic relationships and work effectively alongside clients and their support systems. My goal is to empower clients to develop coping skills, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change while supporting their overall well-being.
