About Elischa Dessalines

Elischa Dessalines is a board-certified PMHNP who has dedicated her career to helping children, adolescents, and young adults feel seen, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey. With extensive experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, she has worked across a variety of behavioral health settings, including specialized inpatient units and behavioral emergency care. Elischa has a particular passion for supporting college students and young adults as they navigate academic pressures, relationships, and the transitions of early adulthood.

Her approach centers on creating a safe, welcoming space where patients feel heard and are actively involved in their treatment. She values holistic care and combines evidence-based treatment with education, coping strategies, and individualized plans to help patients build resilience and thrive.

Outside of her clinical work, Elischa enjoys staying active through strength training, jogging, and playing tennis. She believes that movement and self-care are essential to overall wellness and brings that perspective into the care she provides.
