About Rashaad Nelson
As a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), I specialize in helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and transitions. My approach is holistic, focusing on the emotional, social, and mental well-being of my clients. With a strong foundation in clinical mental health counseling and extensive experience in educational and community settings, I am committed to fostering resilience and personal growth in children 6+, adolescents, young adults, and BIPOC individuals.
Rashaad holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A19952), Rashaad is certified in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Training and Safe Zone Training. This educational background and certifications equip Rashaad with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective and empathetic counseling services.
Outside of his professional life, Rashaad enjoys playing video games, listening to and exploring new music, and roller skating to help him stay grounded and relieve stress. He also cherishes spending quality time with his wife and newborn son, whether they are enjoying outdoor activities, indulging in their usual Dippin’ Dots, or having a cozy family night at home. Rashaad’s interests help him connect with his clients and highlight his commitment to a balanced and fulfilling life.
