About Brittainy Adkins

Why? It’s such a simple word with so much importance. As humans, it is in our nature to ask this question about ourselves, others, and the world around us. Sometimes the answer may not be so clear. That’s where therapy can help. I work with teens and adults who ask themselves this question every day. Perhaps you have experienced trauma at some point in your life, you’re going through major changes, or you’re struggling to truly find yourself. No matter where you are in your life, there is strength in asking for help.

As your therapist, it is not my job to know you better than you know yourself. Only you have lived the life that’s brought you to where you are today. What I can offer, however, is someone willing to walk beside you while you find your way through difficult times. I can promise acceptance, guidance, and a listening ear. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and pull from research-based approaches such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Gestalt, and Neuropsychotherapy.

When I’m not working, I’m most often found spending time with my husband and three daughters. I’m an eternal student and always excited about learning new things. I’m a big fan of The Vampire Diaries, holidays, and fondue! As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I try to be my most authentic self with everyone I meet and encourage others to feel comfortable doing the same.
